Yoga in the Park:

Due to its overwhelming success, Yoga in the Park will continue through September!! Come join the fun on Saturday, September 11th, 15th & 25th ~ 10:00 am - 11:00 am ~ Cost: FREE (a donation of $5 is suggested) ~ Boone Woods Park at the Creekside Stage, 6000 Veterans Way, Burlington, KY 41005 map ~ Rain cancels. Be sure to bring your yoga mat and wear comfortable clothing. No registration is necessary. Local Yoga instructors are volunteering their time to facilitate the classes and will accept donations for their favorite charity, Women's Crisis Center! www.boonecountyky.org/parks

16th Annual "Day of Peace" Rally:

Friday, October 1, 2010 ~ 11:00am-1:00pm ~ Cost: Free~The Carnegie Visual & Performing Arts Center, 1028 Scott Street, Covington, KY 41011 map ~ To kick off Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the purpose of this community-wide effort is to promote peace making and reduce violence in families, neighborhoods and schools in Northern Kentucky. High school students also participate in the event with approximately 150 students attending. Violence is a community problem that requires a community response.
