As a victim service agency, Women's Crisis Center is also committed to prevention. Our Public Education Program conducts age-appropriate personal safety programs on child sexual abuse in elementary schools and relationship abuse and non-stranger rape programs in junior and senior high schools. Corresponding courses are offered to parents and universities. Information sessions and trainings on agency services, partner abuse, rape and child sexual abuse are available to the public free-of-charge.

Green Dot Kentucky is a community level approach to violence prevention that capitalizes on the power of peer and cultural influence. A GREEN DOT is any behavior, choice, word, or attitude that counters or displaces a red-dot of violence – by promoting safety for everyone and communicating utter intolerance for sexual violence, interpersonal violence, stalking and child abuse.
