New Regional Services Center in Boone County

As the population increases in our Northern Kentucky counties, particularly in Boone, Grant and Gallatin, the need for Women’s Crisis Center’s (WCC) services regarding domestic violence, rape and sexual abuse continues to grow as well.

The space leased in Florence for our rural services was inadequate to meet both our current and growing needs. The walk-in and administrative offices located at 835 Madison Avenue in Covington have likewise reached capacity.

For these reasons, we are very excited about our new Regional Services Center, which has been built in Hebron, KY by Paul Hemmer Companies. It houses our rural services counseling and walk-in program, court and hospital advocacy, prevention education program, volunteer training and service program, multicultural program and administrative offices as well as provide a safe and welcoming environment to all who open its doors.

The new Regional Services Center benefits both WCC and the community. The benefits include the following:

For WCC, this enables supervisors, administrators and front line service workers in the same department to be housed together to ensure efficiency, improve communication and enhance creativity in program development and delivery.
We now have the ability to expand and provide more services to domestic violence, sexual assault and rape survivors in our rural communities.
Relocating administrative personnel to the Regional Services Center has provided much needed space in Covington to expand services to our urban communities.
WCC’s Multicultural services will be headquartered at this office where the greatest need for these services lies.
WCC’s Prevention Education Program is better able to address the growing needs within the community and to provide training and awareness.
This allows WCC’s volunteer program with sufficient training space for our extraordinary network of volunteers.
Financially, WCC will benefit from owning rather than leasing a facility.
